The conversion kit includes a new set of outside guides, adaptors, and a sheet of instructions regarding the removal of the old guides and the installation of the new units. They will replace the left and right plastic adaptors. The kit includes hardware for one drawer or sliding shelf. For 24" deep cabinets only. Available in white.
Note: Merillat discontinued the drawer slide brackets. The replacement guides in the conversion kit can be used as a substitute to these older slide brackets.

Broken cabinet slide
Perfect replacement for the existing slide. The new slide seems to have reinforcement on the end that the other one did not have. The plastic broke from carrying all the weight.

Finally! These woprk, and perfectly!
We have Merrillat kitchen cabinets that go way back. We could never put much weight in the drawers without the drawers falling out of their tracks and crashing down onto the next level. And the plastic brackets at the back of the rails would just let go. This was a constant source of frustration. I tried replacing some of the rails only to have the drawers fall off the same way. Frankly, the quality of the hardware left a lot to be desired. So I recently got some of these new replacements and they work! And very well! The design change in the rail, whereby it now has a small edge folded down from along the top to hold the roller wheel in place, makes all the difference. One wonders how the cabinets could have been shipped without this small edge in the first place. The wheels were free to fall out of the rails. In addition to that improvement, now the pins that go into the back of the cabinets from the plastic piece that holds the back of the rail, are now much better and SO MUCH easier to install. This is how the parts should have been designed in the first place. But better late than never. They're great now!

Merillat drawer conversion kit works!
New drawer tracks and sockets work well. Original rear drawer plastic track sockets broke frequently. Conversion kit works well and so far are being durable.

We have drawers from 1988 and the one bracket just broke. Tried several from big box stores and they did not work with our drawer. This conversion kit worked perfect. Did not have to change rails on drawer just the new rails that connect to cupboard bases and the bracket on the back wall. Took longer to ship than to install.

why cant we continue the use with the R/L plastic adapter, the slides are still serviceable......

Drawer
I ordered this kit because I needed the brackets plus the gliders that attach to the wooden drawer. When I opened the package, the brackets to attach to the drawer was missing. I did call Merillat and they said they would send the gliders within two weeks. Until then, our drawer is useless.

I haven't installed the conversion kit as yet, hence my average review.
My drawer cabinet is circa 1987. Original drawer rail support 22&1/2 inch connected to glued plastic connector at the back of the drawer. 23 1/2 conversion rail has 1/2 inch portion of plastic connector that would need me to drill a hole in the back of the cabinet after removing old plastic glued connector. No drilling template was provided. My hands are'nt that steady and a drilling template would be a huge help. Cabinet butts up to another cabinet at right angles. Not sure if plastic extension will be long enough
